A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of a disabled pensioner.
The body of Jack Carter, 62, was found by his son in a downstairs shower room at his home in Sandmoor Road, New Marske, east Cleveland.
He had suffered head injuries.
Keith Jones, 33, whose address was given as Sandmoor Road, appeared at Guisborough Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Police were called on Wednesday morning after a carer for multiple sclerosis sufferer Mr Carter could not get into the detached house.
Mr Jones will appear at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday.
