LEAFLETS are to be delivered to residents of a Teesdale village appealing for information about a ram raid which took place over the weekend.
Police are asking for any information about the ram raid at Middleton-in-Teesdale Co-op store in the early hours of Saturday.
Thieves used a JCB digger to break into the store and scoop out a cash machine containing a quantity of cash.
Police believe a Land Rover and Mitsubishi vehicle were also used in the offence.
Detective Sergeant Ian Sturrock of Bishop Auckland CID said: "We're still looking for persons responsible and what we will be doing shortly is a leaflet drop in Middleton asking people for any information in relation to any suspicious activity.
"We're appealing for any sort of information."
It has not been revealed how much cash was stolen.
The heavy winds which swept the region disguised the sound of the raid.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on (01388) 603566.
