A RANGE of free activities have been organised in east Durham to help people get fit.
The Lottery-funded Get Active programme has been designed by Easington Primary Care Trust's Health For All project to get people of all ages and abilities involved in more active lifestyles.
Indoor and outdoor sessions will be held.
Activities include relaxercise sessions at Thornley Community Centre, walking sessions at Shotton and sessions for teenagers and older residents in Hesleden Primary School on Mondays, cycling sessions at Murton and Hesleden on Tuesdays, aerobics at Howletch Primary School on Wednesdays, Young At Heart sessions in St Andrews Church Hall in Blackhall on Thursdays and gentle exercise sessions in the Robin Todd Community Centre, South Hetton, on Fridays.
The team is looking to recruit staff and volunteers. Training opportunities are available for people in cycle marshalling, volunteer walk leaders, and sports training for children.
