THE CURTAIN will go up for a performance of stage favourite Aladdin this week.
Members of the Saltburn 53 Drama Group will be entertaining crowds at the Community Theatre from Thursday, January 13. Dancer Maureen Payne, who broke her leg recently, announced "the show must go on".
The choreographer, who brought together the talent of youth and adult members, turned up at rehearsals on crutches to see the finished product.
Spokesperson Sheena Taylor said: "In true performance spirit Maureen was turning up for rehearsals.
"If the productions are as much fun as rehearsals, this will definitely be another of our not-to-be-missed shows."
There will be six evening performances running until January 22, with doors opening at 7pm. Matinees on January 15 and 22 will start at 2.30pm.
Tickets, priced £4.50 and £3.50 for concessions, are available from Kings of Saltburn on (01287) 622246 and also at the door before the show.
