BOLLYWOOD dancing, tai chi and salsa classes are among the activities suggested in a new campaign to encourage learning.
North Yorkshire's latest Bite Size campaign of short-term courses was launched at York St John College on Monday.
The campaign aims to encourage people to learn a new skill that can lead to further learning or improve job prospects.
"The UK has the highest rate of childhood obesity in Europe," said Bite Size project manager Gillian Duncan, of Knowledge Base (UK) Ltd.
"Fitness and nutrition are topical and relevant to people's lives, so are ideal as a theme for the new Bite Size campaign."
Hundreds of free Bite Size taster courses are on offer throughout York and North Yorkshire.
Many of the topics on offer aim to support people helping with voluntary activities, such as fundraising for a charity or running local sports clubs.
