POLICE have denied reports they are investigating possible attacks on women in North Yorkshire by the killer of Cambridge student Sally Geeson.
A number of women from across the country have come forward as a result of the 22-year-old's disappearance to report that they may have been attacked or approached by Lance Corporal David Atkinson.
The Army has confirmed that the soldier served at the Claro Barracks in Ripon, North Yorkshire, in 2001.
Yesterday, a newspaper said North Yorkshire Police were investigating claims from women that they may have been attacked by the soldier.
But a spokesman for the force denied this. "We are not involved in the investigation in anyway," he said.
