MORE people in the region are taking full advantage of the rich resources at a university dance department.
Workers from Sunderland City Council are beginning a ten-week dance and fitness course at Crowtree Leisure Centre, beginning next Tuesday.
Dance entrepreneur Kevin Atkinson said: "The dance sessions are a great idea for a New Year's resolution. You have the chance to get fitter, develop a healthier body and learn the art of dance. No dance experience is needed, just the urge to do something new."
The university's dance team are also running the Boys Digital Dance Project at St George's House every Thursday evening for boys aged between nine and 14.
The project, a fusion of digital animation and live dance, is led by the Random Dance Company.
