DISTRACTIONS in the office are costing North-East businesses an estimated £5.4bn a year, a study has found.
The survey, commissioned by office technology company Brother, found that 63 per cent of workers in the region were interrupted more than 20 times a day, costing companies £4,900 a year, per employee, for lost time.
The survey was commissioned to mark Working From Home Week, which runs until Sunday.
