WENSLEYDALE student Thomas Croft has excelled in a series of swimming competitions recently.
The 13-year-old, who lives at Jervaulx, is a member of Stokesley Swimming Club where he trains three times a week under the guidance of Tim Smith and competes in all Moors League galas.
At the club gala, Thomas won four events and was the overall champion. His improvements have been exceptional, having broken the magical 30-second barrier for the 50m freestyle on at least two occasions in the past few months.
He has also been successful at both the Harrogate Swim Meet and the Cleveland County Championships with wins in freestyle and medals in his favourite breaststroke events
