A DRIVING school business that went into administration last month has been bought, saving 55 jobs.
Brighton-based LVG, the parent company of Red Driving School and the Instructor College, has bought Let's Drive Training and Development and its sister company Let's Drive, of Billingham, Teesside, for an undisclosed sum.
LVG has confirmed that Red Driving School and Let's Drive will continue to operate as separate brands, as will The Instructor College and the training and development business, which secures the future of all employees.
The acquisition brings two of the UK's fastest-growing driver and instructor training schools together, with 200 instructors working across the UK.
David Henry, director of LVG, said: "The two companies dovetail perfectly.
"Red Driving School is city-based, whereas Let's Drive has concentrated on non-urban areas.
"We feel that these are all strong brands and the LVG directors are keen to see them continue."
