A CHARITY has moved premises to provide an improved service to people in County Durham.
County Durham Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted helps people who suffer from sight loss.
It has been based in North Road, Durham since 1996, but is now run from a former community hall.
The new headquarters is at Oswald Court Resource Centre on Church Lane, Durham.
It is accessible to wheelchairs and has been designed for people with visual impairments.
Volunteer coordinator Sandra Hillyard said: "We are delighted with our new premises. They are better than we could ever have imagined."
The society is also looking for more volunteers. For information, call 0191-386 8175.
Transport to the centre is available.
