GUEST houses and hotels are being offered a free training day on meeting quality standards.
The quality awareness day is open to anyone who is considering, or currently provides, visitor accommodation in Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, but has not yet been inspected by VisitBritain, the AA or RAC.
"With annually increasing consumer expectations, it is vital we provide nationally recognised standards of quality accommodation, so they will want to return year after year, " said Richmondshire District Council's assistant tourism officer Jill Bell.
"This is an ideal opportunity for new and existing operators with non-inspected property to find out exactly what is involved in the assessment process, and includes a tour of the guesthouse, which is already a VisitBritain 4 diamond quality graded establishment."
The free training session, will be held at the West End Guest House in Richmond on Monday, March 8.
For details, call Jill Bell on (01748) 829100 by January 24.
