YOUNGSTERS at a village school have raised more than £3,000 for an international charity.
Staff and pupils at Hurworth House School, near Darlington, raised the cash for Medecins Sans Frontieres by holding a non-uniform day and sponsored-French vocabulary learning session.
A teacher at the school also took part in the Dublin Marathon and one pupil donated his Christmas selection box to a school raffle.
The charity, which provides medical treatment and supplies to victims of man-made and natural disasters around the world, was yesterday presented with a cheque for £3,400.
