A HOME care company has proved it looks after its workforce as well as looking after clients by securing Investors in People status.
Premier Community Care, in Bishop Auckland, showed commitment to staff development and training.
The company, which offers practical help and personal care to people in their own homes, employees 110 carers and ten office staff.
Managing director Graham Harker said: "We are very pleased with the award which shows the staff are well trained and hopefully well motivated, which can only benefit the people we care for."
Wear Valley District Council chairman Margaret Jones said: "They are doing a fantastic job providing a vital service to the community."
