A CHARITY which is to open a respite centre for children and young people with autism on Teesside, has recruited its first key worker.
Heather Whyman has been appointed care manager for the Norton, Stockton, based Daisy Chain charity.
With a wealth of experience in the care industry, Ms Whyman is looking forward to opening the centre to the general public.
She said: "There are so many parents struggling to come to terms with their child's diagnosis.
"Daisy Chain will offer support and advice to parents as well as providing an holistic approach to the care of their children."
Ms Whyman has a background in marketing management and sales and is a qualified counsellor.
