A NEW warden of Cranmer Hall will be officially appointed tonight.
Bishop of Durham, the Right Reverend Tom Wright, will license Canon Anne Dyer as the warden at a 7.30pm ceremony in the Leech Hall of St John's College, Durham. The 46-year-old canon will succeed Dr Steve Croft as warden of of the hall, which trains men and women for ministry in the Church of England and works closely with the Methodist Wesley Study Centre and the Roman Catholic Ushaw College.
Professor Stephen Sykes, principal of St John's College and the former Bishop of Ely, will preach at tonight's service, which will be attended by the new warden's friends and family from around the country.
