AN evening of childhood memories and nostalgia is being planned at a North Yorkshire museum.
The Royal Pump Room Museum, in Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, is inviting people on a trip down memory lane and to take along their favourite childhood book for an evening of readings and reminiscing.
Ceryl Evans, from Harrogate Museums and Arts, said: "Sometimes, books have quite a big effect on you.
"I wanted to work in a museum after reading a book about ancient Egypt I got for my eighth birthday.
"The nostalgia evening is a chance for people to bring along their copies of Rupert the Bear or Enid Blyton and share them with others."
The event, on January 27, from 6pm until 7.30pm, coincides with an exhibition on childhood running at the museum until April.
The evening is free but places must be booked by calling (01423) 720300.
