COUNCIL house tenants across east Durham are soon to receive a newsletter keeping them up to date with the issues that affect them.
The first issue of Insight is designed to inform tenants of developments since East Durham Homes took over the running of council housing last April.
The newsletter outlines the company's role, how much money is earmarked for repairs, and what projects have been set up by to deal with homelessness and anti-social behaviour.
Alan Caygill, chief executive of East Durham Homes, said: "We are very excited to be delivering our first newsletter for tenants and leaseholders in the district.
"We want tenants to share in our achievements and find out more about the work being carried out to improve council homes and the appearance of council estates.
"During the next few months, we will be expanding the newsletter to include lots of articles on new developments in our services and keep tenants updated on our progress."
He added: "We always want to hear what our tenants think of our services and welcome any feedback on the newsletter and what kind of features they would like to see in the future."
Tenants wishing to have their say can contact East Durham Homes on 0191-527 0501 ext 2218 or 2287.
