A MAN will require facial surgery after what police described as a totally unprovoked attack in a North-East nightclub.
The 25-year-old's jaw was broken in two places during the attack on the Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub, on the River Tyne, at about 1.50am on Saturday.
Surgeons say he will require at least two operations to rebuild his jaw.
His attacker was described as white, in his early 30s and clean shaven. He was slim and about 6ft 1in. Anyone with information is asked to ring Gateshead CID on 0191-454 7555.
