STUDENT cameraman Simon Weightman found himself in the Prime Minister's home working on a project that would gain him national recognition -in Norway.
The Darlington College student was asked by a Norwegian anchorman to film an interview with Tony Blair's agent, John Burton, in Trimdon Colliery, County Durham.
Jon Gelius, of Norway's national TV channel NRK, was on a two-week journalism course at Darlington College and needed a crew for the interview.
He approached students for help, and Simon, 17, of Darlington, and Libby Blythe, 17, of Chilton, County Durham, became his crew for the day.
Simon said: "I was surprised how old the Prime Minister's house was, but it was great to see all the pictures on the wall of Tony Blair with President George Bush."
