A North-East visitor attraction has won an award.
Beamish Museum, near Stanley, County Durham, has been named Britain's Best Museum, in Period and Living Traditional Homes magazine's Best of British Awards.
Readers nominated the aspects of British life they loved best in 15 categories, from best stately home to favourite reclamation yard. Judges made the final decision.
Beamish director Miriam Harte said: "We are thrilled to have been selected by the panel of judges as Britain's Best Museum."
