A North-East computer business is to donate all the money from its regular PC check-ups to the Asian tsunami appeal.
Harrison Computers, in Langley Moor, County Durham, usually charges a £25 fee for the service - which includes checking PC security and cleaning up the hard drive.
But for the next month, all that money will be donated to the appeal.
Director Graham Nevard said: "We felt strongly that we wanted to do something special for the appeal but we also wanted something that would give extra value for people who have probably already donated.
"In our experience most people's PCs are vulnerable to attack from viruses and other nasty malfunctions, due to poor protection.
"This can seriously damage valuable business and personal files so this seemed like a good way to help businesses and raise funds at the same time.
"We hope to raise about £1,000, which we feel would make a great contribution."
The service is available to both business and individual PC owners, and full information is available by contacting Harrison Computers on 0191-378 2618.
