STUDENT fundraisers are inviting community organisations in the Durham area to apply for small grants to help with their work.
Durham University Charities Kommittee (Duck) raises funds throughout the year through various events based in and around the university and is keen to support local causes. Most of its grants are in the £250 to £500 range and application forms are available from www.duck.dsu.org.uk or by ringing (0191) 334 1797.
It cannot support individuals, political parties or religious bodies that exist solely to further members' beliefs, although organisations such as church-run community projects which are open to all may be eligible. Completed application forms must be received by March 15 and successful applicants will receive their grants in June.
