THE first photographs have been released of the inside of one of the properties at the centre of police vice raids in the North-East this week.
The shop and residential building in Victoria Road, Darlington, was one of six addresses searched by police and immigration officials on Tuesday.
Five Thai women were arrested in Victoria Road and another two at a house in Gurney Street. All were arrested on suspicion of being involved in prostitution.
The women, in their 20s and 30s, are to be deported after it emerged that they were illegal immigrants.
Two men, both in their 30s, were also arrested and have been released on police bail while the inquiry continues.
Cash and documents seized during the raids are being held by Durham Police's regional assets recovery team. Properties in Victoria Embankment, Corporation Road, Thompson Street West and one on Stockton's Ragworth estate were also searched.
