DARLINGTON FC fans will get the chance to emulate their heroes by treading the turf at the Williamson Motors Stadium tomorrow.
The Quakers will hold a penalty shoot-out competition during half-time of the match against Shrewsbury Town.
It represents the start of a contest that will run over the next four home games.
The event is part of a celebration of the club's youth team, which recently clinched the Football League Youth Alliance North-East Conference title.
Representatives of sponsor Darlington Building Society will present the championship trophy to the youth team before tomorrow's game.
The overall winner of the penalty contest will win a match-day hospitality package for ten people at a Quakers' match of their choice.
The competition is open to over-16s only. Anyone wishing to enter will have to register in the Tin Shed bar before 2.30pm on match days.
The first 30 people to register at each of the first two matches will take part, with those succeeding in the shoot-out progressing to a semi-final.
The final will take place at the match against Boston United on Saturday, March 5.
