An opening inquest has been held into the death of retired metallurgist Robert Carter.
The body of Multiple Sclerosis sufferer Mr Carter, 62, of Sandmoor Road, New Markse, East Cleveland, was found at his home on January 5.
Mr Carter's son Jonathan, a 33-year-old business manager, gave evidence of identification yesterday at Teesside Magistrates Court.
The hearing was adjourned for investigations.
