AN amateur dramatics group has vowed to give the money from the final performance of their pantomime to the tsunami appeal.
The cast and crew of Centre Stage, in Shildon, were so touched by the plight of those affected by the disaster that they wanted to help.
Andrew Timmiss, from the group, said: "A lot of people have been collecting for those caught up in the disaster and we just wanted to do our bit.
"We have worked hard to put on this year's production of Cinderella and hope that the audience has enjoyed it as much as we have.''
The panto is on stage at the Civic, in Shildon, at 2pm today and 3pm tomorrow.
Tickets, priced £3 for adults and £1.50 for children, are still available for both performances.
Collections in aid of the appeal will be made at each performance and all proceeds from tomorrow's event will also be sent to help those who have suffered.
