DARLINGTON midfielder Adrian Webster has been ruled out for at least a fortnight with a hamstring injury, writes Lee Hall.
Physio Paul Gough last night revealed the extent of the problem after Webster limped out of Saturday's 3-0 win over Shrewsbury.
It had been hoped the 24-year-old would miss only a couple of days with cramp when he was substituted in the 53rd minute. However, after undergoing tests, the Australian will be sidelined until next month.
The loss of Webster will come as a blow ahead of Saturday's trip to Southend. Webster, who started in the last 11 games, was recently rewarded with a deal until the end of the season after impressing during a three-month contract.
Craig Hignett is likely to replace Webster in midfield at Roots Hall, with Clyde Wijnhard winning his race to overcome a hip injury.
Hignett was used as a striker in Wijnhard's absence against Shrewsbury, where he scored two second half goals.
Jamaican defender Damion Stewart is spending a second week on trial with Quakers. However, the 24-year-old is ineligible for tomorrow's reserve game at York City. Skipper Craig Liddle resumed full training last week and is expected to play at KitKat Crescent.
