A COUNCIL will discuss plans to upgrade a refuse site and improve recycling facilities.
Darlington Borough Council will hold a meeting about plans for the Whessoe Road household waste plant on Wednesday, February 16.
The council was awarded £730,000 from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs last year.
A council spokesman said: "What they're planning is to process materials such as glass, cardboard, wood and plastic."
The proposals include extending the tip by a third.
