AN annual search for talented musicians is again under way in Chester-le-Street.
The rotary club, working with the James Etherington Music Trust, is inviting youngsters living in the Chester-le-Street and Durham areas to apply for an award.
The first prize is £300 and a silver trophy, with the runner-up receiving £100.
The competition is open to musicians and singers, and the public are welcome to attend their performances, which will be held in Chester-le-Street Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 12, at 7pm.
Application forms, which must be returned by February 25, are available from Parkview Community School, Church Chare, Chester-le-Street.
