A THEATRE company based in Derwentside is putting on a new show.
Find the Lady is the second production by the Shoestring Theatre Company. It was written by Michael Pertwee and directed by Bill Wilkinson.
Mr Wilkinson said: "The play is set in the Delamere Hotel, where the proprietor is an ex-actress with a liking for the odd tipple now and again.
"When she discovers the dead body of one of her guests, her problems only get more compounded by the fact none of her other clientele believe her, due to her drinking.
"However, as the plot unfolds it starts to become clear that she has not hallucinated the event and the finger of suspicion falls upon the guests at the hotel.
"It is a good light-hearted comedy thriller, full of unusual guests and comical action, a one for the whole family."
Find The Lady is playing at Stanley Community Centre, on February 3 and 4, at 7.15pm, and February 5 at 2.15pm.
Tickets, costing £4 for adults and £3.50 concessions/under-14s, are available from the community centre and Stanley Library or at the door.
