PLANS to convert council offices into houses have been submitted.
Richmondshire District Council wants to sell its offices at 33 Frenchgate, in Richmond, for housing to raise money for its new headquarters in Colburn.
But the scheme has angered volunteers at Richmondshire Museum, which uses rooms in the building for storage.
Volunteers say the sale of the building would jeopardise their plan for an extension and increase the security risk to the back of the museum,
Planning officer Naiomi Kempton is still recommending permission be given.
The plan will be discussed at a meeting on Tuesday.
