STUDENTS have been tucking into bacon and sausage sandwiches as part of Farmhouse Breakfast Week.
The youngsters, from Starbeck Primary School in Harrogate, were also treated to fruit and milk at the Great Yorkshire Showground, courtesy of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
During the morning, the pupils had the chance to make sausages, take part in a quiz to identify different fruit and vegetables and milk Glenys, a life-size model cow.
Nigel Pulling, chief executive of the society, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for youngsters to learn first hand where our food comes from.
"As a society, we are keen to emphasise how wonderful local produce is, and here in Yorkshire our farmers are amongst the finest in the country."
