VOLUNTEERS are teaming up to transform a cricket club in time for the summer season.
Crook Cricket Club has set aside the weekend of April 2 and 3 to give its clubhouse and ground a makeover and is recruiting skilled and unskilled helpers.
The initiative is supported by the English Cricket Board and Natwest, a champion of grassroots cricket.
Crook's CricketForce project is supporting its bid to secure the Sport England Clubmark status.
Planning meetings are held in the clubhouse on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in helping is welcome.
