FOUR foreign nationals have been remanded in custody until Monday charged with going equipped to commit theft.
The men were arrested on Monday night after allegedly being caught on security cameras tampering with a cash machine in Middlesbrough and being in possession of cloned credit cards and a cash-point template.
Romanian Carlo Cana-varo, 23, of Gresham Road, Middlesbrough; Latvian Jurijs Markevics, 27, from London, Romanian Raducu Munteanu, 19, of Wakefield, and Italian Cineri Bartolomeo, 22, of no fixed address, all appeared before Teesside Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Translators were used throughout the hearing to ensure the men understood what was happening to them.
Magistrates adjourned the case until Monday to allow for further investigation and translation.
