WOULD-be actors are being offered the chance to tread the boards.
Arts in Richmondshire (AiR) is creating a community play and rehearsals are about to start.
Last Dance of a Dalesman is being written and directed by Nobby Dimon, of Richmond-based North Country Theatre.
Nearly 80 people have expressed an interest and many have attended workshops and script development sessions over the past ten months.
More volunteers are wanted for on and off-stage roles and AiR has organised three introductory sessions.
The sessions are on February 16, from 7.30pm, at Richmond Operatic Society's rehearsal room in Bargate, Richmond, on February 17 from 7.30pm at Leyburn Methodist Church and on February 27, from 2pm to 5pm at Reeth Memorial Hall.
Open-air performances will be at Middleham Castle on June 16 and 17, Hardraw Scar on June 18, Richmond Castle from June 23 to 25, Forcett Hall on June 30, and Kiplin Hall on July 1 and 2.
