A MUSICAL show last night set the wheels in motion for an appeal to help house a school minibus.
Hummersknott School and Language College, in Darlington, took delivery of the vehicle last year, and staff and students have since been raising the funds needed to keep it on the road.
More than £2,000 has already been raised and last night's concert helped bring in money needed to create a garage for the minibus.
The school's Steel Attitude band, Durham County Youth Orchestra and the Smokin' Spitfires were among the performers.
Teacher and main fundraiser, Dave Bell, said: "We've had a great response to the appeal and we want to keep this minibus on the road for the benefit of all our students."
