AS world record attempts go, you probably could not get more relaxed. But Teesside woman Christine Hughff has entered the Guinness Book of Records after taking part in a group massage.
The sales manager, from Stockton, has just returned from an all-expenses paid trip to Thailand, after achieving top sales with cosmetics firm, Virgin Cosmetics.
During her stay at the Thai beach resort of Hua Hin, Ms Hughff joined 100 other consultants who took part in the world record attempt.
The consultants received a group massage on the lawns of their luxury hotel from 100 Thai-trained masseuses.
Ms Hughff said: "It's probably the easiest world record attempt you could take part in. We just lay down for 15 minutes listening to relaxing music and having our backs massaged.
"After it was over, they continued to massage us for an hour, which was lovely."
The group massage was attended by the local mayor and featured in Thai newspaper reports.
The Hua Hin resort is on the eastern coast of Thailand, away from the devastation of the tsunami.
But Ms Hughff said: "At first, they were going to cancel the trip because of what happened. But the local people were very keen for people to keep coming, because otherwise they will lose one of their only sources of income."
