Spennymoor manager Graeme Clark once again hailed his side's spirit after their 2-1 win at Witton Albion on Saturday.
Despite the problems off the field, Moors are still winning matches, and Clark said; "On our second half display, we deserved to win.
"We started off badly, but again we have to admire the determination and spirit of the players. They want to do well for the club, and we can even sneak into the play offs because of our games in hand."
Moors keeper Darren Horrigan pulled of a couple of good early saves before Moors took the lead when Phil Brumwell found Andrew Brown, and he fired past the home keeper.
However, Michael Yates equalised just before half time for Witton following a mix up in the Moors defence.
But Moors controlled the second half, and won the game when Danny Brunskill beat the offside trap and fired past the keeper.
Meanwhile, Clark has announced the signing of former Sunderland midfielder Stephen Capper.
Bishop Auckland's home game with Marine was postponed, and tonight they make the journey to Leek Town in the Presidents Cup.
Their new signings, Tony Hall and Anthony Woodhouse, will make delayed debuts, but Steve Salvin and Mark Sheeran are both missing.
Bishops' inactivity meant they slipped eight points away from safety after Frickley beat Blyth 2-0 in their relegation battle.
Gateshead also moved further away from Bishops, drawing 1-1 with Prescot Cables. James Curtis scored a late equaliser.
Whitby lost ground in the title race when they were beaten 2-0 at home by Radcliffe Borough.
