Barnard Castle-based Rokeby Developments is delighted with progress being made at its £3.5m development at Preston Farm.
Quantity surveyors Baker Mallet and Tri Star Homes Limited - Stockton Borough Council's new arms-length housing management company - have both signed deals to take space on the development.
Unit One, a three-storey office building providing 10,000 sq ft of accommodation, has been let to Stockton Borough Council who, in turn, have sub-leased to Tri Star Homes on a ten-year lease agreement.
The unit, a design and build scheme, was pre-let to Tri Star before construction started and is due for completion in early April.
Baker Mallett has acquired 3,000 sq ft of office space with its purchase of Unit 3A - one half of a two-storey building with a total floor space of 5,370 sq ft.
Rokeby purchased the site in 1997. On an adjacent site at Bowesfield Park, Rokeby has also recently submitted a planning application for a mixed-use office and housing scheme.
Rokeby's Adrian Goodall said: "The development will see the construction of four units in total and demonstrates our confidence in the region as more companies are choosing to base themselves in the borough.
"They say location is important and I couldn't agree more."
