RITCHIE Humphreys admits there's no danger of his Hartlepool United side already making plans for Southampton.
Pool were yesterday paired with the Premiership side in the FA Cup draw. But first they have to overcome Brentford in the fourth round replay at Victoria Park a week on Saturday.
Last weekend's goalless draw at Griffin Park means Pool have a second crack at reaching the fifth round for the first time.
Humphreys admitted: "When we drew Brentford before the third round replay it sort of took the pressure off both ourselves and Boston knowing there wasn't a big trip to Old Trafford or somewhere waiting for us.
"It is going to be a hard battle again at home. Their manager really has them up for it.
"But we know we can win and we have just got to make sure we finish the job off."
Saturday's draw ended a run of eight successive defeats against Brentford.
Pool lost 2-1 at Griffin Park in October and the teams meet at Victoria Park in League One action on February 22.
Humphreys added: "We knew Saturday was going to be a physical battle but we can look after ourselves as a team.
"What we wanted to do was get the ball down and play but on that pitch it was impossible.
"It cut up terribly as soon as we started warming up on it.
"Little passes along the deck could punish you if you didn't get them exact, so we had to be very careful.
"We knew we had to up it a bit in the second half because they were winning too many challenges.
"In the last 20 minutes our character showed as they really came at us. We still want to make history, although when we came off the pitch Sweens said 'we've still made history by being in the draw'. That's great, but we obviously want to go one better and be there.''
Tickets for the replay are on sale to season ticket holders from 10am today. The game is not all ticket, but they go on general sale from next Monday.
