WARTIME drama came to the region last night as Darlington Civic Theatre's latest production got under way.
Journey's End, which runs until Saturday, has opened the venue's spring season.
Set in 1918, in the British trenches at St Quentin, France, the play tells the story of a company of officers preparing for a daring raid across No Man's Land.
It stars Philip Franks, who appeared in Heartbeat and The Darling Buds of May, and former Coronation Street favourite Tom Wisdom, who played hairdresser Tom Ferguson.
Tickets and further information are available from the box office on (01325) 486555.
