Peterlee are looking for a new manager again following the resignation of John Charlton, writes RAY SIMPSON.
Charlton, appointed in October, has resigned because of business commitments. Peterlee are currently in the bottom three of the First Division.
Second Division Evenwood have appointed Brian Maitland as their new manager. Maitland has been managing Murton in the Northern Alliance, and has been assistant manager at Norton and briefly manager of Peterlee.
Guisborough have been told by the league to improve their dressing rooms, or face possible relegation at the end of the season.
Billingham Synthonia dropped two points in their title quest at home to Thornaby last night.
Synners hit the bar through Lee Flanagan and Neil Radigan, but couldn't find a way through a well-organised Thornaby defence and had to settle for a goalless draw.
Billingham Town drew 3-3 with Morpeth at Bedford Terrace, Lee Ure rescuing a point in the last minute after they led 2-0 at one stage. Town had keeper Darren Collier red-carded for dissent.
Jarrow Roofing picked up three valuable points in their relegation battle when they won 1-0 at Durham City, Craig Nelson scoring from a Darryl Leach pass after 32 minutes.
In the second division, Willington were beaten by two late goals away to Penrith.
