A MAN has admitted attacking a woman during a domestic violence incident.
Edward Linton, 25, of West Auckland Road, Darlington, pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court to assaulting Danielle Dixon.
However, he denied three further charges arising from the same incident on November 25, last year.
Linton pleaded not guilty to falsely imprisoning Ms Dixon and Philip Topping.
He also denied assaulting PC Stephen Lance Moralee with intent to resist arrest.
The guilty plea was accepted by the prosecution, which said it was likely the denied charges would be left on file.
David Lamb, for Linton, applied for pre-sentence reports to be prepared, but made no application for bail on behalf of his client.
The case was adjourned until a date to be fixed.
