A SUPPORT group which hopes to send a team from the North-East to help survivors of the Asian tsunami is gathering support.
Geordie Aid holds its next meeting at 6.30pm tonight in the Quaker Meeting House, Jesmond, Newcastle.
The group has recruited barristers, web designers and aid workers to help, but still needs more volunteers. It aims to set up a centre on Tyneside to co-ordinate efforts and another in the stricken area to help survivors.
