STUDENTS at a Darlington school are getting ready for a memorable performance.
More than 50 pupils at Carmel RC Technology College, aged 11 to 18, are taking part in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, which includes some original music.
Work on the production started in October.
Moira Shepherd, director of the play, said: "We chose A Midsummer Night's Dream because it is one of the A-level texts but also because it is a popular romantic comedy that everyone knows and loves. It also has quite a lot of parts for young people."
She said students had enjoyed rehearsals, but were getting nervous in the run up to the performances.
The play is being shown at Carmel RC Technology College on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at 7.30pm. All tickets are £4 and are available from the college reception, or by calling (01325) 254525.
