A CENSUS of young people involved with social services in Darlington is to be carried out.
The survey, to be carried out during the week of February 21, is part of a Department for Education and Skills initiative aimed at helping to allocate funds more effectively.
A number of youngsters involved with social services are to be asked to take part in a questionnaire for the DfES and the Department of Health.
Darlington social services will use the information to improve the service it provides.
Councillor Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council's cabinet member for children's services, said: "We are urging anyone who is contacted as part of the survey, to respond."
For more information about the census, call Helen Armstrong on (01325) 346805 or Jan Lefevre on (01325) 346825.
