The U14 team from Eastbourne Comprehensive School has reached the last 32 in the Four Aces U14s Schools Football Cup.
The team beat St Wilfred's, of South Shields, 3-2 in their fifth-round match last week. The goals were scored by Grant Hickman, Daniel Potts and Philip Caley, penalty. The match was refereed by former World Cup referee George Courtney.
The next rounds will probably be played outside the North-East.
The victorious team includes Philip Caley, Simon Sung, Luke Robinson, Callum Tarren, Grant Hickman, Matthew Haymer, Gary Martin, John Ward, Gavin Harland, Dean Irvine, Daniel Potts, Daniel Bruce and Kevin Coglan. The boys also got a bonus, a new strip from Umbro recently.
