A VALENTINE'S jazz concert is being organised at a County Durham school to celebrate the most romantic day of the year.
Several favourite tunes, such as Watermelon Man, Tequila and Chameleon, will be part of the programme at the Valentine's Jazz Evening at Barnard Castle School.
Performing the numbers will be the school's jazz and soul band and the Mick Donnelly Quartet.
The school bandmaster, Mr Donnelly, said: "It promises to be a fabulous evening of entertainment and the pupils are working really hard to be ready for the night."
The event takes place on Friday, February 18, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 and include supper. For more details, call (01833) 690222.
