ESSENTIAL sewerage works by Northumbrian Water in Newport Road, Middlesbrough, is expected to cause delays and traffic tailbacks.
Work on the east side of the Newport roundabout starts on Monday for a minimum of eight weeks.
It will lead to congestion at the roundabout, particularly for traffic heading west along Newport Road from Middlesbrough town centre and traffic coming off the A66 westbound exit sliproad onto the roundabout. The work is part of a £1m scheme to improve the sewer overflow system.
